Mitral Valve360° is a new pre-congress course taking place right before CPC 2020, on the 24th of April in Vilamoura. This course was developed for Cardiac Surgeons, Cardiologists and Anestesiologists (Residents, Fellows or Specialists) with at least basic knowledge of echocardiography and mitral valve anatomy and pathophysiology.

The goal of this program is to provide hands-on high-fidelity simulation-based training on mitral valve procedures and imaging, with one-to-one teaching under the supervision of experienced physicians in this field.

Wetlab and drylab training sessions will allow the participants to develop technical skills in a realistic yet informal environment, with tips & tricks and troubleshooting.

The transesophageal echocardiography virtual simulator will provide basic understanding on standard views, echo-anatomy and typical pathological findings which can be found during pre-procedure mitral valve evaluation. Intra-procedure guidance and post-procedure decision-making will also be covered.

Registration: Scholarships will be available to cover registration fees. A pre-booking is necessary before 15th of March by e-mail ( to pre-book your registration. The first 16 candidates that meet all criteria will be contacted by the Course Director.
