Atrial Fibrillation 2016 (Management of)

ESC Clinical Practice Guidelines

Despite good progress in the management of patients with atrial fibrillation (AF), this arrhythmia remains one of the major causes of stroke, heart failure, sudden death, and cardiovascular morbidity in the world.

These 2016 Atrial Fibrillation Guidelines are based on the current state-of-the-art evidence in 2016.

Topic(s): Arrhythmias, General; Antiarrhythmic Pharmacotherapy; Atrial Fibrillation; Anticoagulants; Pharmacology and Pharmacotherapy; Invasive Imaging and Functional Assessment; Stroke; Arrhythmias and Device Therapy

Acute and Chronic Heart Failure

ESC Clinical Practice Guidelines

The aim of the document is to provide practical, evidence-based guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of Heart Failure.

Topic(s): Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy; Chronic Heart Failure; Acute Heart Failure; Cardiovascular Pharmacotherapy; Heart Failure

Dyslipidaemias 2016 (Management of)

ESC Clinical Practice Guidelines

The present Guidelines represent an evidence-based consensus, by appraising the current evidence and indentifying remaining knowledge gaps in managing the prevention of dyslipIdaemias, the Task Force formalated recommendations to guide actions to prevent CVD in clinical practice by controlling elevated lipid plasma levels.

Syncope (Guidelines on Diagnosis and Management of)

ESC Clinical Practice Guidelines

The 2018 Guidelines on Syncope consist of a Full text, a supplementary data document giving further explanation on specific points and the Web Practical Instructions, advice is given on how to evaluate patients with loss of consciousness (LOC) and how to perform and interpret tests properly; tracings, videos, flow-charts, and check lists are provided. While the Full Text is mainly aimed to give formal evidence-based recommendations according to the standardized rules of the ESC, this new supplementary data document allows expansion of the content to practical issues and aims to fill the gap between the best available scientific evidence and the need for dissemination of these concepts into clinical practice (“We have the knowledge, we need to teach it”).
